DIY Monogram Twine & Felt Flower Wreath

I have recently found a love for wreaths and crafting them for friends and family. Here is one of my latest I made for a friend who recently moved into a new house. I bought a 12" paper mache letter from joann fabric and some twine at home depot. I wrapped the twine around the letter-hot gluing under in some places. The back turned out a bit messy (I found out the letter S is a tricky one for wrapping with twine!) so I hot glued some navy felt to hide the not so perfect back side.

After that I made some felt flowers using the tutorial I found here.

The coolest thing I think about the wreath is that the flowers stick to the wreath with Velcro (hot glued on) so they can be changed out with other ones for different seasons.

I hotglued the ribbon on so it can be tied and hung up and there you have it a great new wreath to go with a beautiful new house for a great friend!

DIY Beadboard Cabinets & Laundry Room Makeover

I have been working for the last month or so on my laundry room. My husband said "why the laundry room? no one sees it?!" But I go in there a million times a day and just wanted make it pretty. It all started with two shelves I was hanging to put baskets on for collecting returns and things to take to goodwill. While hanging I realized how dingy our builder's painted walls were and decided to paint them a bright white. With the help of my mom we painted the walls and ceiling in two days! I was inspired by some baskets I found to tame the clutter of my baker's rack.

I refaced and painted our boring cabinets to look like real beadboard kitchen cabinets. This was a cheap project seeing that I had leftover beadboard from our son's beadboard nursery/bedroom project. I found some more of the baskets and matched it all up and now my project is complete! I am loving my little slice of organized heaven! Enjoy!

Laundry Room Before: (very tiny laundry room = hard to get pictures...)

Laundry Room during: (check out beadboard tutorial here that I found on pintrest)

Laundry Room Makeover After:

The only thing left on my to-do list is the lighting. I'm trying to find the perfect light for this spot. Of course I think I'm going to hit up goodwill or restore and do a little diy for this project-check back soon for updates on that one!

Munchkin Snack Catcher

My son has been using these snack bowls for about 6 months and we love them. I have tried other kinds and they always end up spilling the cheerios all over the floor for the dogs to gobble up. These ones are great because they allow him to put his hand through the flexible rubber top and pull out the snack but when he drops it on the floor nothing comes flying out. They are dishwasher safe and even survived an attempt by the dogs to steal food out of it when it was left on the floor (they were unsuccessful) That alone sold me on buying more!

Check it out at them Munchkin Website here.
